This is a more or less random entry, in what I hope will be an ongoing, and at least vaguely interesting, series of informal articles (ok, blog entries) recounting my adventures in Free Software development, as a member of the development team at http://taskwarrior.org.

I recognize Martinez’s hair immediately. Natural and bouncy, much like her personality, I can spot it a mile away as she strides toward the Linux Caffe at the corner of Christie and Harbord.

Slow jazz lingers in the air of the coffee shop as the gorgeous Latin musician enters the front door. We find immediate common ground in our love of baked goods and warm drinks on an ugly winter’s day.

CLOSED for New Years festivities

That's right, once in a blue moon, with a partial eclipse..

closed Thursday, December 31st and Friday, January 1st

Open as usual, Saturday @ 10ish

Thanks the thousands who visited linuxcaffe in 2009, but most especially to our lovely regulars (you know who you are) we're all about you!

It has been a year of learning and development, of reflection and re-invention, and the year ahead is full of promise.

2010 here we come !

So here's the thing, in the fall and early winter of 2009, I got really wrapped up in a gazillion details and meta-details and I let this fine site get crufty, but NO MORE ! As the new year is on it's way, I resolve to make changes. One of which is that I'll be making much more frequent visits, including an effort at a daily personal blog (not for the front page) So thank you for sticking with it, and I hope you'll see this space take a more active mode, with features to keep you coming back. Thanks for watching, djp

The holidays are upon us. While I haven't updated the site in too long, I'll like to that those who visit, and to wish each and every one of you comfort and joy this season.

Expect good things in the year to come,

thank you,

David J Patrick

Happy Thanksgiving !
Linuxcaffe will be closed today, so that we may bring you fresher, more delicious fare, without totally exploding because we never rest.

So sorry if this causes any inconvenience, and yes, we should have posted this earlier. We're crazy about you and can't wait to see you on Tuesday.

Love and Thanks,
the Manidgemint
