Ardour workshop, with Ben Powers

ardour-logo

Ardour is a linux-based Digital Audio Workstation capable of professional-grade multi-track recording and post-production.

UDPDATE; In the days following the workshop, Mr Powers will be leaving the country, and won't be back till spring,
So if you thought you might skip this one and attend another soon, think again.

Ben Powers is a very capable user, and contributor to the program, expert in associated synthesizers and sequencers, and is a delightful speaker and teacher.

If you want to see how you too can turn any decent hardware into a high powered recording studio, join us Sunday (corrected) October. 7th, at linuxcaffe for an informative and entertaining free workshop. (we will "pass the hat" afterwards, to show our appreciation) This time, we will be recording and mixing live musical instruments.

Hey guys,

Thanks for putting on this fab sounding event. It seems to say it's on *September* 7 in the story on the site, but *October* 7 on the calendar. Hope to see you there!

Thanks for an amazing afternoon. Ben did a great job walking us through the basics of Ardour, and it was great to meet DJP, Greg and all the others. It was definitely worth the 3 hour drive.

My sincerest gratitude goes to all the participants of the workshop who, through their insightful questions guided me in delivering the know-how that people want to know. It was great working with such an interested, dynamic group, and I'm privileged to have been a part of the goings-on.

Special thanks to DJP for hosting and Sean for providing the focus.

Feel free to check out the online version of my tutorial (with full colour pictures)
