is a GPL licensed suite of programs that allow you to build the mythical home media convergence box on your own using Open Source software and operating systems. MythTV is known to work on Linux and Mac OS X (PowerPC and Intel). It does not run on Windows.

KnoppMyth is an attempt at making the Linux and MythTV installation as trivial as possible.

A workshop is an event where interested parties gather to learn about, explore and/or demonstrate something. In this case, a system to transform a reasonably powerful computer, appropriate video hardware and free software into a fully featured Personal Video Recorder.
