Linuxcaffe is hosting a release party for ubuntu's latest linux distribution;

Maverick Meerkat

(also known as 10.10) between 5pm and 8pm this Sunday.

There will be snacks and stickers, friendly geeks with free CDs. If you wanted to see what all the fuss was about, or you wanted some help installing ubuntu, or you felt like helping some folks understand ubuntu systems, or just felt like hangin' with the gang and representin', see you Sunday afternoon!

Fedora 11 Release Party

Sorry for the incredibly short notice, but this evening at 6 PM at linuxcaffe, we'll be hosting a Fedora 11 release party.

New features will be demonstrated and discussed. DVDs and CDs will be burned. USB sticks will be turned into bootable images with optional persistent storage. Food and drinks will be consumed. Good times will be had by all :)

Fedora 9 release party

The community-based linux distribution, Fedora, is about to release version 9, and developers and enthusiasts will be having a get-together at linuxcaffe, to celebrate. Fedora is the free and open development branch of Red Hat, and it's really really good ! The party is open to anyone, so come on down and share in the revelry.

The first annual Jersey Ave Street Party was a huge success,
with fun and games all day
and a sit-down dinner for 120 friends and neighbours.

The second annual JSP is going to be EVEN BETTER !
put it on your calendar now, it's going to be THAT much fun!

Staff Night

The last Thursday of the month, linuxcaffe staff get together at their favorite caffe for a laugh and some take-out food. We stay open usual hours, but the service may be unpredictable.
